v51.0.0 is here! This release adds some configuration options and support for various GNOME shell versions including GNOME 51.
Progress bar
Dropbeat now has an animated progress bar at the bottom of the card. You can also click it to seek. The progress bar is shown by default but can be disabled in settings.
The track title is now a button too. Click it to open the MPRIS player that Dropbeat is currently controlling.
More configuration
You can choose a separate icon theme for Dropbeat's previous, play or pause, and next buttons. This changes the card without changing the icon theme used by the rest of GNOME Shell.
Fullscreen mode has two new options. On a multi-monitor setup, you can choose which display should show the fullscreen window instead of relying on automatic placement. You can also choose to hide the cursor in fullscreen mode.
There is also a new Hide Browsers setting. Enable it if you want Dropbeat to ignore MPRIS players from browsers such as Firefox and Brave. This might be useful to you if you have videos or media playing from your browser a lot but don't want it to take priority over a music player for instance.
The existing Fetch Album Covers switch still lets you disable remote cover downloads completely. When downloads are enabled, the new HTTPS Only option blocks plain HTTP covers and redirects to HTTP. It is enabled by default.
You can also set a request timeout for remote artwork. The default is 10 seconds, which should be enough for most users.
GNOME 46 through 51
This release adds support for GNOME Shell 46, 47, and 51 while keeping support for 48, 49, and 50. Dropbeat now supports every GNOME Shell release from 46 through 51.
